FAQ

Questions parents ask

Everything families usually want to know before a first lesson. If your question is not here, call us on +357 99 343636.

Getting started

Does my child need any experience with robotics or coding?

No. Children join a group that matches their age and experience, and every beginner activity assumes no prior knowledge. For the Advanced robotics level we recommend completing Intermediate first.

How do I enrol my child?

Call us on +357 99 343636 or send the trial lesson form. We will talk about your child's age, interests and experience, suggest a group and arrange a trial lesson.

Can we try a lesson before committing?

Yes. Trial lessons are available and are arranged by phone so we can place your child in the right group on a day that suits you.

Which activity is right for my child?

Age is the starting point: 4 to 6 for the early-years activities, 5 to 10 for the primary activities, 10 to 15 for the advanced ones. Within that, our teaching team will recommend an activity after a short chat or a trial lesson.

Lessons

How long is a lesson?

Sixty minutes for most activities. Robots and Coding Intermediate and Advanced run 60 to 90 minutes, which is two academic hours.

How big are the groups?

Groups have at most 10 children. Our usual ratio is one teacher to six children, and it is never more than one to ten.

When are lessons held?

There is no fixed public timetable. Days and times are agreed once a group forms, so please call us and we will tell you what is currently running or starting.

How many lessons are in a block?

It depends on the activity: 24 lessons for STEAM Park, Coding Express, StoryTales and STEAM Reading, 30 for SPIKE™ Essential, BricQ Motion Essential and STEAM Mathematics, 38 for the Robots and Coding levels, 40 for SPIKE™ Prime and 8 for BricQ Motion Prime. English STEAM, Greek STEAM and Art and STEAM Construction run for 30 weeks with one lesson a week, and STEAM Music for 24 weeks.

Does my child need to bring anything?

No equipment. All LEGO® Education sets, robotics components and devices used in lessons belong to the centre.

What does a typical lesson look like?

A question or challenge to start, time to build and program in pairs or small groups, testing and fixing, and a short presentation where children explain what they made and why.

Is it only robotics?

No. Alongside robotics and coding we run STEAM Mathematics, English STEAM, Greek STEAM, STEAM Reading, STEAM Music and Art and STEAM Construction. All of them use building and hands-on projects.

Safety and supervision

Who teaches and supervises the children?

Groups are led by our teaching team, which includes a teacher certified by LEGO® Education. Groups are capped at 10 children, with a usual ratio of one teacher to six children.

Is anyone first-aid trained?

Yes. Staff are first-aid trained.

How do drop-off and pick-up work?

A parking area is about 50 metres from the entrance on 28th October street. Students must be dropped off around 5 minutes before the lesson starts and picked up promptly after the lesson ends.

Fees

How much does it cost?

Fees depend on the activity and the block length. We do not publish a price list; please call us and we will explain the options for your child.

Is there a sibling discount?

Yes, a sibling discount is available. We discuss it by phone when you enrol.
