What your child does at Stride

Build it. Code it. Test it. Explain it.

Every lesson is a project. Children work with real materials, make things move, see what breaks and fix it. Then they show the group what they made and why.

Build

Animals, vehicles, rides, bridges and robots from LEGO® Education sets and robotics kits. Fine motor skills and spatial thinking from day one.

Code

From screen-free coding bricks at 4, to block coding at 6, to Scratch-based and Python programming of autonomous robots by 11.

Investigate

Forces, motion, gears, speed, data and measurement, plus maths and language explored through STEAM projects.

Present

Children present their projects to classmates and parents, explain their reasoning and take feedback on board.

One program, three stages

A program that grows with your child

Children join the group that matches their age and experience. No prior experience is needed at any stage.

How we teach

Children lead the learning. The teacher guides it.

We guide students through inquiry, dialogue and critical thinking. Learners identify a real problem, investigate possible solutions, build and program with robotics materials, share ideas, receive feedback and refine their work.

  • We prepare children for the challenges of the 21st century.
  • We value the learning process as much as the outcome.
  • We encourage trial and error as part of meaningful learning.
  • We promote exploration, inquiry, collaboration and critical thinking.
  • We teach children to take ownership of the problem-solving process.

Our teaching

Teachers who guide, children who lead

Every group at Stride is led by our teaching team, which includes a teacher certified by LEGO® Education. Children meet a challenge, build and program a solution, test it and explain their thinking to the group.

Groups stay small: our usual ratio is one teacher to six children, and never more than one to ten.
